As Principal Digital Design Architect at Infineon, you will drive innovation in microcontroller communication IPs. Your role involves breaking down requirements, evaluating third-party solutions, creating technical documentation, and collaborating cross-functionally to promote a cutting-edge development strategy.
In your new role you will:
1. Drive concept development and innovation in the area of microcontroller communication IPs based on a profound understanding of microcontroller architectures and applications
2. Consider functional safety (ISO 26262), cyber security (ISO 21434) as well as production related aspects
3. Break down stakeholder and product requirements to hardware and software requirements and define implementable solutions fulfilling those requirements
4. Observe and analyze third party IP provider solutions and match existing offers with our requirements. Describe and explain gaps to find optimal solutions for all requirements
5. Own and create the needed technical documentations (like user manuals or data sheets) in line with our internal document creation process. You will also ensure to provide material to allow your safety architect colleagues to deliver the various work products to guarantee the ISO26262 compliance
6. Network cross-functionally with cluster architects, system engineers, application engineers, functional safety experts, design, verification and validation teams within and beyond your business unit to promote your state-of-the-art development strategy
7. Perform technical risk management for microcontroller architecture and design across IP, subsystem and SoC hierarchies based on key knowledge of technical challenges and development constraints
You are an integral part of a dynamic, cross-functional team, bringing with you the ability to communicate effectively and proactively across diverse teams. Your collaborative spirit and adaptability enable you to thrive in a fast-paced environment, fostering innovation through your exceptional problem-solving skills and extensive technical expertise.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
1. A Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical field
2. At least 6 years of relevant working experience in chip architecture, design or related
3. Microcontroller knowledge and automotive/networking application know-how
4. Deep knowledge in one or more communication protocols such as Ethernet, PCIe, CAN, SPI, SENT, on physical and data link layer.
5. Deep knowledge in one or more memory interface standards such as LPDDR, XSPI, UFS
6. Experience working on SOC architectures based around the AMBA bus protocols
7. Experience in writing User Manuals and define Data sheet values
8. Basic knowledge about functional safety and cyber security standards
9. Working experience in international and cross-functional technical teams within a multicultural environment
10. Fluent English language skills
