R&D Control Systems Engineer
to join a Medical Device company in Galway

What You'll Do
Design and develop the electromechanical control system (console, actuators, pump interface)
Translate clinical and functional requirements into robust system designs
Lead development from prototype to manufacturing
Drive usability, safety, and performance through testing and risk management
Collaborate across engineering, testing, and external partners
Apply human factors engineering to create intuitive clinical interfaces
Support documentation, quality, regulatory, and IP activities
What We're Looking For
3–5+ years' experience in electromechanical systems (medical devices preferred)
Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (NFQ Level 9+ preferred)
Strong experience in real-time control systems and
PLC programming
Knowledge of IEC ******* and medical device safety standards
Experience with testing, verification & validation, and DFMEA / risk management
Ability to troubleshoot complex mechatronic systems
Human factors / usability experience for clinical devices
Familiarity with ISO *****, ISO *****, MDR, and FDA frameworks
Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-growth environments
