Job Description
At our Westport site in Mayo, we are hiring an Analytical Technology Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role focuses on conducting Cell-Based Potency Assay (CBPA) testing, along with ad-hoc investigational and development testing.

In your new role, you will:
* Perform QC testing of commercial products using Cell-Based Potency Assay and ELISA methods.
* Handle routine lab duties including reagent qualification, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
* Coordinate with other departments to support product release and project completion.
* Support and execute Method Transfer and Validation activities for biological drug projects.
* Monitor assay performance and analyze trends.
* Compile and review laboratory documentation such as SOPs, methods, and validation reports.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the laboratory.
* Support regulatory inspections as needed.
* Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations.
* Adhere to all EHS procedures and policies.
* Lead laboratory projects to ensure timely completion.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* A Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.
* Practical experience with mammalian cell culture techniques (passaging, freezing, drug treatments) is a plus.
* GMP experience is advantageous but not essential.
* A solid understanding of ELISA-based methods.
* Knowledge of working within a regulated environment.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to plan and prioritize workloads.
