Job Description

Environmental, Social, Governance values are at the core of our business and is a growing team within our group. We are seeking an ESG & Systems Coordinator (6‑month fixed‑term) to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organisation's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. The role focuses on environmental performance, sustainability initiatives, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with ISO‑based management systems.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of the company's ESG strategy and sustainability roadmap.
Collect, analyse, and report ESG performance data (e.g., carbon emissions, energy use, waste, water).
Assist in the preparation of ESG disclosures (e.g., annual sustainability reports, VSME, and CSRD where applicable).
Monitor ESG trends, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support environmental impact reduction initiatives (carbon, waste, biodiversity, resource efficiency).
Track environmental KPIs and ensure targets are monitored and updated.
Assist with carbon footprint calculations and sustainability metrics.
Promote environmental awareness and best practices across the organisation.
Maintain and improve Environmental Management Systems (EMS) aligned with ISO 14001.
Support integrated management systems where applicable (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
Assist with internal and external ISO audits, including documentation and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with environmental policies, procedures, and legal obligations.
Maintain environmental compliance registers and ensure adherence to local and international legislation.
Support internal governance processes, ESG risk assessments, and controls.
Coordinate ESG‑related policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, procurement, HR, finance) to embed ESG practices.
Support communication of ESG performance to stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers).
Assist with supplier sustainability assessments and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
A third‑level degree in environmental science or other relevant discipline.
Good mathematical and numerical skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proven IT skills, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
Ability to work on your own initiative, researching ESG trends, but also willing and able to work as part of a team.
