Job Description
St. Michael’s House is recruiting Social Care Workers for its Residential service at Abbeyfield, Grangemore Rise–North Dublin. The role involves working with a skilled and responsive staff team to deliver a high-quality person‑centred service for five individuals. You will collaborate closely with the Social Care Leader, multidisciplinary team and families to provide positive behaviour support and person‑centred supports, helping to promote a good quality of life and independence.
Essential Criteria
Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual disability and autism.
Experience working as part of a team.
Experience implementing positive behaviour support plans.
Experience in a key working role focusing on promoting independence and community integration.
Excellent communication skills.
A full clean driver’s licence and willingness to drive as part of your role.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Essential Qualifications
QQI Level 7 – Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) or equivalent.
Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland.
Level 7 awards for Social Care Worker posts accepted only if approved by CORU for registration.
Completed CORU Registration or in the process of registration under Section 91, with qualification recognised by CORU.
