Position Overview
This newly created role provides strategic leadership and operational responsibilities over KKCS’s people, culture, and community engagement functions. This role shapes organisational capability, workforce sustainability, and community relationships to enable KKCS’s mission and long‑term impact.
The role integrates people strategy, organisational culture, employee experience, community engagement, partnerships, communications, fundraising, and volunteer engagement into a coherent enabling platform that supports high‑quality service delivery and organisational sustainability.
This is a senior leadership role that requires strong strategic judgement, cross‑functional leadership, and the ability to build systems, culture, and relationships in a complex social service environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. People & Culture Strategy
Lead organisational people and culture strategy aligned with our long‑term vision and values.
Drive the development, change management, and implementation of competency frameworks, leadership development strategy, and succession planning.
Strengthen recruitment, retention, performance management, and talent development.
Shape a strong organisational culture that supports staff wellbeing, excellence, and accountability.
Initiate strategies to elevate organisation value to our people.
2. HR Governance & Workforce Enablement
Oversee HR policies, systems, compliance, and workforce planning.
Ensure HR practices support organisational growth and sustainability and is within good governance practices.
Advise the Management Committee and its Human Resources Committee, as well as KKCS senior leadership, on workforce risks, talent strategy, and organisational capability.
3. Community Engagement, Partnerships & Resource Development
Lead strategy for donors, volunteers, partners, corporates, and community stakeholders.
Strengthen KKCS’s fundraising, communications, and external engagement approach.
Build long‑term partnerships to expand resources, visibility, and community trust.
Be the advocate of KKCS to our stakeholders.
Ensure coherence across communications, volunteer management, and partnership initiatives.
4. Leadership & Organisational Enablement
Lead and develop managers and teams under the People, Culture & Community cluster.
Build cross‑functional collaboration with service units and corporate functions.
Contribute to organisation‑wide strategy and institutional development.
5. Other Duties
The role is guided and supported by Management Committee’s Human Resources Sub‑Committee and Nominations Sub‑Committee, and this role will staff both committees.
The role provides opportunity to work directly with the Management Committee on various projects and proposals.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and the leadership team.
