Introduction
Exchange House Ireland National Travellers Service is the largest front line Traveller specific service in Ireland.
We are an organisation of Traveller and non-Traveller people working together to provide services to Traveller families, and Traveller young people and children and Traveller men and women, many of whom are in crisis.
We pride ourselves in working with some of the most marginalised members of the Traveller community.
We are a multi-disciplinary service provider offering Family Support and Crisis Intervention Services, Children and Young Peoples' Services, Addiction Services, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Services and Education and Training Services to members of the Traveller community in the Dublin area.
We also deliver various national services through training, provision of expertise and partnerships with other organisations providing services to Travellers in Ireland.
Specialities Required
We are currently seeking a director of the board with specialist knowledge in Finance.
The ideal candidate will have experience of financial operations and management, preferably within a company/organisational setting, with a good understanding of relevant legislation and good practice.
A confident ability to offer expertise, advice and guidance in the management of our multi-funded c.
€3m budget will be advantageous.
Expected commitment
Board meeting are between 6 and 8 times a year, with one meeting being a full training day.
Meetings are usually held in the morning and last no longer than 2 hours.
All Board members will be required to attend a recommended board training programme.
Board members may be asked to join one of the sub-committees.
Meetings are hybrid.
Board members will receive an induction when joining the Board.
