An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated individual to work within Special Care Units in Co. Dublin, providing high-quality care to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create a safe, supportive environment promoting the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of service users.
* Implement effective Care and Placement Plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
* Support daily routines, ensuring seamless transitions between education, appointments, meals, and activities.
* Engage in therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the needs of each child or young person.
* Maintain open communication with families and professionals, fostering strong partnerships.
* Ensure accurate documentation and reporting, facilitating informed decision-making.
* Participate in regular team meetings and supervision, driving continuous improvement.
* Respond appropriately to challenging behaviors, utilizing evidence-based interventions.
The ideal candidate will possess a Level 7 degree in Social Care or a related field and experience working with children in residential, special care, or alternative care settings. Additionally, CORU registration is mandatory. This role offers a competitive public-service salary, a 39-hour roster, 25 days annual leave, paid travel expenses, and free parking.
