A well-established HealthTech SaaS provider is engaging a contract Power BI Engineer to design and deliver a robust analytics and dashboarding capability across its platform.
This engagement will focus primarily on Power BI engineering, with the opportunity to contribute to data engineering activities as required.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Design, build, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports.
Develop scalable semantic and data models optimized for reporting and performance.
Write and optimize DAX expressions and measures.
Work with internal stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
Ensure dashboards are performant, intuitive, and aligned with business needs.
Support Power BI governance, access control, and best practices.
Data Engineering (Secondary Scope)
Develop and maintain data pipelines feeding analytics and reporting layers.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries.
Support data modeling for analytical use cases.
Improve data quality, reliability, and documentation.
Collaborate with engineering teams on data architecture decisions.
Cloud Environment
Work within an AWS-hosted data environment.
Integrate Power BI with cloud-based data sources.
Support scalable and secure data access patterns.
Required Experience
Proven experience as a Power BI Engineer / BI Developer in a commercial environment.
Proficiency with DAX.
Advanced SQL capability.
Experience working with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred).
Comfortable working in a product-led, stakeholder-facing environment.
Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, Redshift, or similar.
Experience working in SaaS, HealthTech, or regulated industries.
Familiarity with BI governance, data security, and role-based access.
