Business Development Manager Location: Mullingar, Westmeath Summary An exciting opportunity for a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to lead and grow the sales and commercial function for a rapidly expanding operation in the fuels industry.
The role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a results-focused approach, particularly within a start-up or scaling business environment.
This position will be central to accelerating growth from the Mullingar site, driving high performance standards, and shaping the future of commercial operations.
Key Duties: Sales Drive revenue growth through both inbound and outbound sales, with a strong focus on outbound activity.
Identify and prospect potential customers via cold calling, email, and other communication channels.
Utilise prospecting tools and software to increase engagement with potential clients.
Build relationships with customers in both face-to-face and remote settings.
Set, track, and achieve monthly and quarterly sales and performance goals.
Assess client needs and recommend suitable solutions.
Account Management Provide excellent front-office customer service on a daily basis.
Oversee the full sales cycle, from initial contact to order processing, logistics, and delivery coordination.
Monitor account credit terms and manage the debt cycle in collaboration with the sales team.
Finance Process online payments, cash, and banking transactions.
Liaise with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
Depot & Operations Management Contribute to depot management, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Oversee truck routing and driver management.
