We are currently recruiting for a stimulating opportunity with a leading multinational in Athlone.

* Oversee the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, air handling units (AHUs), compressed air, steam systems, cooling towers, and water treatment systems.
* Ensure continuous and efficient operation of utility systems to support manufacturing and facility needs.
* Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for utility-related issues.
* Implement and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and efficiency.
* Ensure all utility systems comply with local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and work permits for utility operations.
* Support audits and inspections related to utility systems and facility compliance.
* Work with EHS teams to ensure sustainable energy usage and waste management practices.
* Identify and implement efficiency improvements to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
* Optimize system performance through data analysis, monitoring, and process improvements.
* Support facility expansion, equipment upgrades, and commissioning projects related to utility systems.
* Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless facility operations.
* Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for system maintenance, upgrades, and compliance testing.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience in utility engineering, facility maintenance, or industrial utilities within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment.
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, steam systems, HVAC, compressed air, and water treatment.
* Understanding of BMS (Building Management Systems), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), and energy management principles.
