Location: Lombardstown, Mallow, Co. Cork.
The role of Purchasing Administrator involves supporting the Buying Team at our Lombardstown HQ. Responsibilities include maintaining product and price files, supporting category strategies, managing promotions, and fostering relationships internally and externally. Reporting to the Retail Lead Buyer, the role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and proactive engagement.
Responsibilities
1. Maintaining and reviewing supplier catalogues monthly.
2. Logging and processing price changes post-approval.
3. Handling product queries from management.
4. Supporting e-commerce updates for product descriptions and prices.
5. Monitoring stock levels and liaising with marketing on promotions.
6. Assisting in setting up and supporting promotional activities.
7. Developing supplier margin reports and benchmarking against competitors.
8. Adhering to purchasing procedures with professionalism and discretion.
9. Resolving supplier invoice queries.
10. Performing other related duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
1. Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced office environment.
2. Relevant purchasing or business administration qualification.
3. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
4. Experience with business intelligence tools for data analysis.
5. Previous administrative experience; knowledge of agricultural/retail sectors is a plus.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Self-motivated with a positive, resilient attitude.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and advanced IT skills.
