Health and Safety Officer
We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to support the day-to-day management and implementation of Health and Safety processes across the company. This is an office-based role, with some travel involved.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the Health & Safety Management Systems. Key responsibilities include:
* Effective communication throughout the company on H&S issues.
* Providing reports relating to H&S as necessary.
* Supporting business needs through innovative approaches.
* Carrying out risk assessments and hazard identification.
* Communicating H&S requirements to staff.
* Coordinating EHS training and inductions.
* Reporting incidents and monitoring follow-up actions.
* Maintaining H&S objectives.
* Carrying out H&S audits and inspections.
* Issuing and tracking PPE requirements.
* Liaising with site teams to ensure health and safety documentation is up to date.
Requirements:
* A Third-level qualification in Health & Safety is required.
* At least 2 years' experience within a Health & Safety regulated role is essential.
* Innovative thinking and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to deliver training and manage multiple tasks.
* A full clean driving license is required.
* Experience with RAMS and method statements is beneficial.
