We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper / Financial Administrator to join our busy quarry operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial administration of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing and managing weekly/monthly payroll for staff
Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with revenue requirements
Managing creditors' accounts, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and timely payments
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
Supporting management with financial reporting and ad-hoc administrative tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial administration (experience in construction/quarrying an advantage but not essential)
Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT returns, and accounts payable processes
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
