What you’ll do
Join the Jacobs Graduate Development Programme (GDP) and have a meaningful, positive impact on environments, communities and societies. You will be provided with on‑the‑job training and exposure to various stages of schemes, from initial concept through to construction. You will assist and support colleagues in the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, and highway designs as part of your development to becoming a professionally qualified engineer. You will work with your manager and mentor to collect meaningful learning experiences and contribute to projects within the Highways & Civils team.
The GDP is a two‑year experience programme designed to blend learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, champion our strategy, and your passions. The programme is designed to be customised to reflect your interests, career goals and technical skillset, creating a graduate experience unique to you.
Responsibilities
* Support on delivering Jacobs’ transportation and highways projects, from feasibility through to delivery.
* Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, and highway designs.
* Engage in on‑the‑job training with latest software tools and learn across project stages.
* Collaborate with team members to contribute to project outcomes and solutions for complex challenges.
What we’re looking for
* Be working towards a Masters level qualification in Civil Engineering or related specialisations (e.g., Civil Engineering with Environmental Engineering, AI, or Data).
* A flexible self‑starter who is keen to drive your career forward.
* Adaptable to change with a thirst for learning new things.
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
