Civil Structural Project Engineer



Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Project Engineer to join our team in Cork City, Ireland. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for managing construction and fit-out projects based in Cork and Dublin.


Key Responsibilities include:

* Leading general construction tasks including setting out, pipe work, drainage, foundations, BCAR activities, tender documentation, fire safety certificates, and co-ordination of tender packages for large commercial projects.
* Designing residential and commercial developments with civil and structural engineering expertise.
* Overseeing the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Working closely with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes that drive efficiency and productivity.
* Maintaining accurate records and reports, including project progress, costs, and any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other partners to ensure successful project outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
* Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
* Familiarity with industry-standard software and technologies, including Autodesk, MS Office, and Google Suite.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and location.
