The group has 30 Heat Merchants branches and 12 Tubs & Tiles showrooms supported by a central warehouse and distribution hub based in Athlone.
The Group's business support services and technical design hub are based in offices in Athlone and Balbriggan.
The Product File and Pricing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of product and pricing data across the business.
This position supports the Pricing and Product File Maintenance (PFM) Manager, Procurement team, and other departments by maintaining up-to-date product information, resolving pricing issues, and contributing to margin improvement initiatives.
The role is essential in enabling informed decision-making and driving commercial performance through effective data management and analysis.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Ensure timely and accurate updates to the supplier product file, maintaining a high standard of detail.
Create new product codes based on specifications provided by the product team, and communicate any necessary updates or changes.
Collaborate with the internal product team on price file updates and supplier file restructures to support margin optimization.
Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies as they arise.
Assist the PFM Manager with margin improvement initiatives, including recalculating product costs, updating RRP prices, and refining margin controls.
Maintain and update customer price lists.
Oversee the pricing and data updates for company brochures, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Prepare quarterly term review matrix files by branch, distribute to Regional Managers, and implement any required updates.
Respond promptly to pricing confirmation requests.
Input promotional pricing efficiently and accurately.
Manage the shared PFM inbox and ensure timely responses.
Maintain internal forms and process documentation for the PFM team.
Review scheduled weekly and monthly sales analysis reports, flagging margin changes and generating ad-hoc reports as needed.
Provide data analysis support across various departments within the business.
Support the PFM Manager with additional tasks and projects as required.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The following criteria will be used in the selection process.

Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a similar role.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and formula-based calculations.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Comfortable managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly to changing priorities.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
A proactive, solution-focused approach to work.
A third-level qualification in Business or Finance.
Product knowledge in relevant areas such as heating, plumbing, tiles, or sanitary ware.
