We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading Nursing Home in Co Dublin.
Responsibilities
Play a central role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for all residents.
Lead and support the nursing team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Prepare and administer medications in line with Company policy and An Bord Altranais guidelines.
Ensure residents’ hygiene and personal care needs are met to the highest standards while maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
Provide palliative and end-of-life care, offering compassionate support to residents and their families.
Act as Deputy to the Director of Nursing, assuming their responsibilities during absences or emergencies.
Plan and allocate nursing teams, ensuring the right skill mix, staffing levels, and experience to meet clinical needs and maintain continuity of care.
Organise fair and accurate duty rosters, coordinating annual leave, other leave, and staffing requirements to ensure appropriate skill mix and optimal use of resources.
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing in preparing, implementing, and evaluating budgets and service plans.
Monitor and control the use of supplies, equipment, and resources, ensuring appropriate use and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct ongoing floor inventories to identify service needs and maintain suitable stock levels.
Lead by example, demonstrating a strong team ethos, positivity, professionalism, and motivation.
Encourage, mentor, and guide the nursing team, promoting a supportive and happy working environment.
Provide ongoing guidance and advice to junior nursing and care staff to support their development and ensure high standards of care.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years post-registration experience.
Proven track record in team leadership and performance management.
At least 3 years’ experience in Care of the Elderly.
Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Strong ability to lead, motivate, and support a multidisciplinary team.
