This is a full-time position for a Graduate Civil Structural Engineer based in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford. The successful candidate will be involved across a diverse range of engineering sectors, including:
* Structural Steel Design
* Timber Frame Design
* Reinforced Concrete Design
* Temporary Works Design
* Refurbishment and Strengthening Works (including Historic Buildings)
* Project Management and Coordination from concept stage to practical completion
* Civil Engineering Design (i.e. Roads, Drainage, SuDs, etc)
The role will involve a mixture of design work in the office and on-site visits, inspections, and meetings.
This position is particularly suitable for a graduate engineer who intends to pursue Chartered Engineer / Chartered Structural Engineer status with Engineers Ireland
And / Or
The Institution of Structural Engineers
And / Or
Engineers Europe.
Qualifications & Attributes
* Bachelor / Master Degree in Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 1 year internship or work placement experience
* Strong understanding of structural analysis software, such as
Tekla Structural Designer
,
MasterSeries
, or
IDEA StatiCa
(experience with any of these is an advantage)
* Basic understanding of Trimble Connect and Revit for coordination of 3D models with BIM Technicians & Multidisciplinary teams
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D for updating drawings as required
* Holds a Full Category B Driver's Licence in Ireland
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
