Role and reporting structure
Swim Ireland is expanding pool operations to operate an additional Pop-Up Pool in Ballinrobe, County Mayo. We are seeking an experienced Pool Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pop-Up Pool. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the appointed person will be the key on-site contact, responsible for overseeing daily pool operations and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all patrons. This role involves administrative tasks, teaching, maintenance duties, and staff supervision, requiring excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key areas of responsibility
Safety and Compliance
* Enforce Swim Ireland rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all users.
Staff Management
* Supervise and schedule pool staff, including teachers, lifeguards, and other support personnel.
* Conduct regular staff meetings and organise relevant training sessions when necessary.
Maintenance and Operations
* Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the pool, pool area and related facilities.
* Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and facilities to identify and fix any problems or hazards.
* Liaise with the Swim Ireland Operations Admin on the coordination of the pool timetable and pool budget, including expenditures for supplies and equipment.
* Pool chemical management and water quality testing.
Customer Service
* Manage customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
Record Keeping
* Maintain records of pool usage, chemical levels, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents.
Training and upskilling will be provided by Swim Ireland if required.
Education & Experience
* Relevant qualification and experience in a supervisor role.
* Relevant Swimming Teaching qualification.
* Pool Lifeguard Qualification desired but not essential.
* First Aid Qualification desired but not essential.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Essential requirements
* Be eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.
* Relevant Swimming Teaching qualifications.

Remuneration & location
* The package will include a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. This role includes evenings and weekends.
* Position Tenure: 12 month fixed-term full-time contract.
* Position Location: Swim Ireland Pop Up Pool, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo.
