Job Description: Housing Officer
Responsible To: Housing Services Team Leader
Location: Dublin City Centre
Contract: Full Time Permanent
Job Summary:
As Housing Officer, your main responsibility is to provide a visible and highly effective presence in your designated locality. You will deliver a quality housing management service, including lettings, with a strong customer focus, ensuring KPIs and customer satisfaction targets are met, along with regulatory standards.
You will ensure the correct operation of housing management and lettings policies and procedures. Working alongside the Housing Services Team Leader, you will promote community pride and belonging, supporting initiatives like customer engagement activities and local panels.
The role involves maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism, developing cross-functional initiatives, and supporting service improvements and customer reviews.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Functional):
* Support operational delivery priorities with the Housing Services Manager.
* Assist the Lettings Team to ensure properties are let efficiently, minimizing void loss.
* Manage properties in line with tenancy agreements and statutory requirements.
* Coordinate viewings, sign-ups, and property setup post-let.
* Collaborate with external partners to support vulnerable customers and ensure smooth tenancy onboarding.
* Act on tenancy breaches and escalate serious issues appropriately.
* Engage with customers to incorporate their feedback into service delivery, ensuring fairness and respect.
* Participate in community safety projects and estate improvement initiatives.
* Implement and monitor housing policies and procedures, ensuring legal and policy compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Organisational):
* Contribute to operational planning and provide data for reports.
* Maintain professional knowledge, support colleagues, and promote effective communication.
* Build networks with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
* Conduct activities safely, adhering to health and safety policies.
* Ensure risk assessments are in place and team members are aware of safety procedures.
