Job Description
JD Edwards Capability Manager
Lead the future of JD Edwards at Version 1. Shape strategy, drive delivery excellence, and inspire a high-performing team of consultants. This is a senior leadership role focused on vision, delivery, and people development for the JD Edwards capability.
Responsibilities
* Set the vision for the JD Edwards capability and drive innovation with AI, automation, and modern practices.
* Lead from the front — coaching, mentoring, and stepping into projects to ensure delivery success.
* Build and grow talent — attract, develop, and retain top JD Edwards consultants.
* Influence growth — contribute to bids, solutions, and thought leadership across the market.
* Make an impact at one of Europe’s fastest-growing consultancies trusted by global brands.
* Build & Lead Talent — recruit, develop, and retain best-in-class JDE consultants aligned with Version 1 values.
* Drive Delivery Success — governance, risk management, quality assurance across projects; step in when needed to accelerate delivery.
* Optimise Resource Utilisation — maintain strong chargeability and utilisation within the JDE practice.
* Champion Innovation — embed AI tools, automation, UDOs, Orchestrations, and modern practices into delivery.
* Develop People — upskilling, certifications, career progression, inclusive team building.
* Retain Top Talent — identify high performers and create rotation opportunities to maintain velocity.
* Support Sales & Growth — contribute to bids, solution design, estimations, PoCs, and proposal reviews.
* Lead Thought Leadership — share expertise via blogs, white papers, and industry speaking engagements.
* Continuously Improve — measure and drive improvements in delivery, process, people, and technology.
Qualifications
* Extensive JD Edwards ERP expertise with a proven track record in implementations, upgrades, and optimisation.
* Strong ERP programme/project management experience.
* Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and mentor consultants.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Commercial acumen with experience supporting bids, pre-sales, and estimation.
* Certification in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a plus.
* Willingness to travel as needed and work within Version 1’s hybrid working model.
