About the Role
Lead major rail infrastructure and upgrade programmes in Ireland and other markets, working with key clients and stakeholders to deliver high‑impact projects.
Responsibilities
Safety, Ethics & Quality first: identify high‑risk areas, advocate for safe practices, and lead large rail programmes of significant strategic value.
Provide highly experienced technical leadership for rail project delivery in Ireland and in other markets as appropriate.
Thrive together: develop high‑performing delivery teams, contribute to tenders, and lead development of successful proposals.
Innovate with impact: drive innovation in technical and management approaches, assess long‑term trends, and proactively address emerging challenges.
Collaborate to win: work with Market Sector Leaders, European and Indian leadership to identify strategic opportunities and develop solutions; contribute to people development strategy; develop key industry relationships.
Qualifications
Significant professional experience leading the design of large‑scale, complex rail programmes (heavy rail, light rail, metro).
Track record of driving high performance, achieving objectives, and leading large teams on capital infrastructure projects.
Proven ability to navigate complexity, drive innovation, and manage large projects and contracts.
In‑depth knowledge of rail safety, operations and compliance standards.
Commercial acumen with proven ability to manage large projects and contracts.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and client‑relationship skills.
Recognition within the rail industry and a substantial network.
Commitment to fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
Degree in engineering, project management or another relevant discipline.
Chartered membership of a relevant professional body.
