5-Axis CNC Machinist - County Clare. Our client seeks a skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join the team. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture high-precision components. Job Description: Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machining centres and various models of CNC milling machines with precision and attention to detail. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD drawings Create and edit CNC programs using CAM software Understand CNC nomenclature and make minor program alterations as needed. Select appropriate tooling and work holding for each job Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to optimise processes Ensure compliance with ISO and other Quality Standards Work to tight tolerances and ensure the quality of output by inspecting your own work. Required Skills & Qualifications: At least 3 years' experience in 5-axis CNC machining Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines desirable but not essential Familiarity with Hypermill Software desirable but not essential Familiarity with Heidenheim controllers desirable but not essential Ability to inspect parts using calipers, micrometres, and CMM's Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Training will be provided in areas where skills and knowledges gaps are identified.
