Gourmet Food Parlour have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic, ambitious and strong Head Chef to join our team on our department store based restaurant based in Dublin City Centre

As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of food production and kitchen hygiene. This role demands hands-on involvement, meticulous attention to detail, and a positive work attitude to ensure that our customers consistently enjoy exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee and supervise the preparation of all food items.
* Ensure that all food is prepared in strict adherence to specified food preparation requirements.
* Ensure the timely production of meals, with an ample supply available for different dining areas.
* Efficiently manage stock requirements, purchasing, and replenishment to minimize wastage and spoilage.
* Lead and guide the kitchen staff, making sure they are well-informed about their responsibilities and performance expectations.
* Provide training and mentorship to new staff, equipping them with the necessary skills to meet our high standards.
* Delegate kitchen duties in accordance with menu requirements.
* Monitor and assess the work of kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are carried out to meet our expectations.
* Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation at all times.
* Ensure the kitchen is fully compliant with all HACCP records and standards, maintaining food safety and quality at all times.
* Oversee and ensure all staff training is up to date, including food safety and culinary skills, to maintain a highly skilled and compliant kitchen team.
* Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure that financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved in alignment with roster management and the balance between sales and expenditures.

Skills and Abilities Required:

* Minimum 1 year as a head chef and 2 years as sous or similar level.
* Punctuality, organization, and trustworthiness, along with a professional appearance.
* Strong ability to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
* An unwavering commitment to maintaining high food quality and safety standards.
