About This Role
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working in an acute care environment, providing support to patients through collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork.

Your Responsibilities
* You will assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for adults presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
* You will work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues across various wards to optimise patient outcomes.
* You will deliver dysphagia assessment and management according to best practice standards.
* You will contribute to discharge planning and care pathways to ensure continuity of care.
* You will document all assessments, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with professional standards.
Senior Role Responsibilities
* You will provide leadership, clinical supervision, and mentoring to junior staff and students.
* You will lead service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and clinical governance activities.
* You will contribute to training and education for hospital staff on communication and swallowing management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Proven experience in adult acute care and dysphagia management.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
* Senior Role Specific: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with significant time spent in an acute hospital setting. Demonstrated ability to lead service initiatives and support junior team members.
