**IT Engineer – MSP / Cybersecurity Focus (Hybrid, Dublin City Centre)
A growing cybersecurity consultancy is looking for an experienced IT Engineer with a strong MSP background to join their team. This role is well suited to someone with 5+ years' experience in IT support or systems administration who is highly familiar with Microsoft 365 and wants to develop further into cybersecurity.
Key responsibilities
• Provide reliable second-line support across client environments, carrying out thorough troubleshooting and resolving root causes
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID
• Use backup and monitoring tools (such as Datto or similar) for restores, patching, and system oversight
• Handle core networking tasks, including VPNs, firewalls, and basic switching/routing, plus Wi-Fi troubleshooting
• Work directly with clients, maintaining a professional and confident communication style
Skills and experience
• At least 5 years' experience in IT support or systems, ideally within an MSP or consultancy setting
• Strong Microsoft 365 and identity management knowledge (AD/Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access)
• Comfortable working in ticket-based environments with solid documentation practices
• Practical, hands-on networking knowledge
Desirable
• Exposure to Fortinet or Sophos technologies and general security awareness
• Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, or CCNA certifications
• Driving licence for occasional client visits (useful but not mandatory)
