I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client within the logistics and supply chain sector who is seeking an experienced
Customs Clearance Specialist
to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a customs professional with strong import/export experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, compliance, and customer service.
The Role
Reporting to the Customs Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and compliant customs clearance operations while supporting both internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Delivering an efficient and compliant customs clearance service in line with Revenue requirements and internal standards
* Preparing and issuing daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and reports for assigned customers
* Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of all customs-related transactions
* Ensuring all data submitted to Revenue is accurate and fully compliant
* Liaising daily with operations teams to ensure smooth clearance processes
* Managing and resolving customs queries within agreed timelines
* Supporting new tasks and initiatives aligned with business development
* Effectively closing out company issues within required deadlines
Skills & Experience
* Minimum
3 years' experience
in an Import/Export or Customs Clerk role
* Strong hands-on experience with
import and export customs clearances
* Experience creating and discharging
T1 documents
* Solid understanding of
commodity classification
* Minimum
2 years' experience using Thyme IT software
(essential)
* Experience with
Customs Force / Customs Ware
applications is desirable
* Background in a similar industry is an advantage
* Excellent PC literacy and strong administrative skills
