Job Title: Performance Analyst - FAI Women's GameWomen's National Team (WNT)Women's & Girls Talent ID programLocation FAI Headquarters, Abbotstown, Dublin 15, IrelandDirect Reporting Line To: WNT Head Coach plus matrix managersDuration 2 year full time, specified purposeCommencement Jan 2026Time CommitmentPrimary Role – attend all international camp windows including preparation and review periods.Secondary Role – on-site at FAI HQ, approx. one week in four.Indicative Split of RolesThe role will be divided broadly between performance analysis support for the WNT (75%) and talent identification (25%) with flexibility depending on program needs and the competitive seasonPrimary Role – WNT Performance AnalystReporting to the FAI Head of Performance Analysis the main purpose of this role is to provide analysis and data support to the Republic of Ireland Women's Team.Key Responsibilities:Produce detailed pre-game opposition analysis reportsManage live matchday analysis systems and workflows to provide coaches with in-game, and immediate post-match tactical analysisCreation of performance analysis dashboards for players and staffManage performance analysis data –interpret and visualise performance data that we collect internally and are provided to us from third partiesBuild opposition player profiles from International and club performancesWork as part of an Interdisciplinary team and present relevant feedback to the coaching, performance and medical staffArrange and prepare performance analysis needs head of performance support and WNT operations to ensure all international camps performance analysis needs are met to the highest standardSupport the FAI Head of Performance Analysis as requiredSecondary Role – Women's & Girls Talent ID ProgramPrinciple PurposeReporting to the FAI Head of Talent ID, the main purpose of this role is to provide analytical insight to help identify, support and develop high potential players in the international pathway programs.Key Responsibilities:Match & training analysis of relevant underage pathway matches & training.Develop a matrix of key footballing metrics to help make informed decisions to support player development.Identify key trends in player and team performances over time.Build individual player profiles of highlighted playersDevelop the long-term tracking capabilities of the FAI's talent ID programProvide analysis packages on teams and players to relevant coachesKnowledge, Training & QualificationsUEFA B or similar coaching qualification with a high level of tactical football knowledgeDegree in Performance Analysis, Sports Coaching, Sport Science, or other related subjectsExperience with a variety of video capture, coding, telestration and presentation software (Hudl SportsCode, Studio, Insight, Matchtracker and Keynote)Data collection experience, analysis & visualisation (Excel/Numbers, Tableau, Python, R, Power BI etc)Proficiency in data portals (such as Statsbomb, Impect, Opta, Second Spectrum) and the ability to manipulate and visualise the outputs of theseSignificant experience working with in a professional club or international team and a strong understanding of high performance environmentsExperience of using a drone and remote pilot competency course completedMeasures of SuccessDevelopment of a high functioning performance analysis service delivered to all relevant stakeholders across the WNT program.Extensive contribution to the Republic of Ireland WNT backroom staff by providing relevant game and training analysis detail to support a multi-discipline service being delivered to the playing groupDelivery of stated KPI's relevant to each of the roles. KPI's will be agreed with line managers over an ongoing 12 month period.Outstanding communication skills with colleagues and players and external stakeholders, (clubs, other)- demonstrating an ability to collaborate with non-technical audiences and communicate insights efficiently in a time-sensitive environment.Exceptional attention to detail, timekeeping, attendance, teamwork and focused interdisciplinary mindset.Excellent integration across all relevant FAI departmentsClosing date for applications is COB 13 October 2025.Shortlisting will take place shortly afterwards.The Football Association of Ireland is an equal opportunities employer.
