Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Category C Truck Driver to operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring timely arrivals and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a 7.5-tonne truck in compliance with all road safety regulations.
* Delivery and Collection: Transport goods to and from specified destinations, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
* Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
* Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient routes to minimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and mileage logs.
* Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
* Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional service to clients during deliveries and collections.
Requirements:
* Valid Category C License: Possess a current Category C driving license with a clean driving record.
* Driver CPC Qualification: Hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
* Experience: Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with 7.5-tonne vehicles.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
* Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
* Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Geographical Knowledge: Familiarity with the road networks in County Wicklow and surrounding areas.
