Rape Crisis Midwest provides free, confidential support to survivors of sexual violence across the Mid-West region.
As a Trustee Board Member with a Psychotherapy background, you will bring specialist expertise to strengthen our governance in clinical and therapeutic practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Shaping strategic direction, policies and governance
* Providing expert insight on clinical and therapeutic matters
* Supporting the development of policies related to counselling, psychotherapy and client support
* Advising on training and support for staff and volunteers delivering therapeutic services
This is an opportunity to champion trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, diversity and inclusion across our services. You will participate in sub-committees as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
You have significant professional experience as a psychotherapist or counsellor with knowledge of professional standards, ethics & best practice (e.g. IACP). A commitment to supporting survivors of sexual violence is essential.
Benefits:
The role offers approximately 10 board meetings per year along with participation in sub-committee meetings. Terms are three years (reappointment possible).
