Purpose of the role: The role of the Research Development Officer is to support the expansion of the Research & Innovation (R&I) Office in response to the growing number of applications received year-on-year. The Research Development Officer will provide administrative, operational, and project management support to the R&I Office at St James's Hospital. The post holder will play a key role in the development, coordination, and governance of research projects, ensuring compliance with hospital, HSE, and national standards. In addition, the role will contribute to the strategic growth of research at St James's by promoting best practice in research ethics and leading initiatives to assess, demonstrate, and communicate the impact of research at clinical, academic, and societal levels.
