Project Engineer Leadership Role
Long-term contract position at a manufacturing site with a duration of 5 to 10 years. As part of the Engineering Project Delivery Team, responsible for all activities required to support project scoping, commissioning, qualification, validation and start-up operations.
Lead the delivery of engineering projects on time, on budget and in accordance with all project and business safety and quality goals. Scope new engineering projects and secure capital approval.
Lead, support and participate in commissioning and qualification activities. Update and influence management and project stakeholders. Coordinate participation of specialist trades and departments.
Coordinate project interfaces with other projects and departments. Coordinate project documentation. Estimate costs and schedule projects. Provide project progress reporting and risk management.
Constructability and maintainability studies. Project resource management. Check current condition of systems. Organize project meetings and appointments. Provide project-related training as required.
Complete projects according to established procedures. Participate in retrospective project performance review and lessons learned.
Responsible for ensuring safe accomplishment of job activities. Carry out routine and non-routine tasks delegated by manager. Complete all documentation in compliance with site procedures.
Ensure personal training requirements are completed. Support ongoing studies by Operations, Quality Validation, MSAT, Facilities and other support functions. Support external site visits as required.
