The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, provides a range of educational, training and social care services for adults, youth and children in the North Inner City.
We are recruiting for an Early Years AIM Educator – 1 x Full-time role – 27 hours weekly
The organisation is currently recruiting an AIM Educator to join the Early Years Team to provide education, guidance, support and care to children.
About the AIM model: The Access and Inclusion model promotes inclusive practice and offers all children an opportunity for meaningful participation in a pre-school setting. Determining how to allow a child to participate varies depending on the child's needs.
AIM is a strength-based model, not an SNA model; however, some children will require one-to-one care.
The role details are as follows:
AIM Educator Full-time: Term-time contract with up to 27 hours per week. This role will commence immediately and run until July, with the possibility of extension or other roles in Early Years Education in September 2025.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting and assisting in the provision of high-quality early childhood education in a holistic setting.
* Ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children to grow and learn.
* Maintaining an organized and clean environment for the children.
* Organizing materials and activities to encourage children's participation.
* Catering for individual needs to support holistic development.
* Conducting observations and learning stories for assigned children.
* Supporting children in meeting goals outlined in their inclusion plans.
* Attending staff meetings and undergoing training as required.
* Collaborating with children, families, and educators to promote development.
* Adopting pedagogical approaches underpinned by Aistear & Siolta frameworks.
* Performing other relevant duties as assigned.
Essential qualifications and skills:
* Minimum QQI Level 5 in a childcare qualification or equivalent (check DCYA.gov.ie).
* A passion for working with young children and their families.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.

Salary: €15.60 per hour
