This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on chef who thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about both food and people development. You will lead menu innovation, ensure operational excellence, and play a vital role in training and mentoring our people supported by WALK as they develop skills for future employment.
What You'll Do
* Lead menu planning & execution – create seasonal, innovative menus that our customers will love.
* Train & mentor our people supported by WALK – provide structured, hands-on training for people with learning disabilities in food preparation, hygiene, and customer service.
* Manage and inspire the team – coach, and develop the kitchen team and front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.
* Oversee both sites – maintain consistent quality and standards across Walkinstown and our new city centre café.
* Control costs & stock – ensure efficient ordering, minimal waste, and strong financial performance.
* Ensure food safety & compliance – maintain HACCP standards and embed a strong culture of safety.
* Drive innovation – introduce fresh ideas, culinary trends, and special offerings to keep our menus exciting.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a chef in a senior or development role.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and inspire others.
* Creative culinary flair with an eye for detail and consistency.
* Experience in budgeting, stock control, and cost management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and adapt quickly.
* Passion for social enterprise or community-based work is a plus.

Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
