About Your New Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Manager to join an established property and facilities management team, overseeing two high-profile city centre commercial properties.
* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring all building services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, cleaning, landscaping) run efficiently.
* Manage and coordinate contractors, ensuring compliance with permits, RAMS, and health & safety standards.
* Implement and monitor safety protocols, emergency procedures, and access control systems.
* Support ESG goals and sustainability initiatives across both properties.
* Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and deliver cost efficiencies.
* Review and approve invoices, ensuring accuracy and budget adherence.
* Act as the primary liaison for occupiers, handling queries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.
* Organise tenant meetings and provide regular updates on operations, projects, and improvements.
* Oversee refurbishment and fit-out works, ensuring minimal disruption to occupiers.
What Skills You Need
You will be a confident self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to anticipate occupier needs and deliver solutions with a "can-do" attitude. Visible, approachable, and highly organised, you will ensure that the buildings under your management operate seamlessly while providing an exceptional service experience for all stakeholders.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in building or facilities management.
* Strong knowledge of building systems, statutory requirements, and industry regulations.
* Demonstrable experience managing projects, refurbishments, or fit-outs in occupied buildings.
* Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high service standards.
* Solid financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost control.
* Proficiency in CAFM systems, facilities management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong understanding of ESG principles and their application in the built environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with occupiers, contractors, and landlords.
