An Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing manufacturing company based in Cork. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has previous accounting experience to join their dynamic and growing finance function in of Irelands top businesses on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be mentored, trained and work alongside the Finance Director and Financial Controller maintaining the month end accounts. You will within a stable team carrying out varied duties including reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable and progressing to other duties below.
Key responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:
* General bookkeeping duties including bank reconciliations using Microsoft Excel and Kerridge.
* Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
* Assisting in providing analysis for budgeting process
* Accurately process and match purchase invoices with corresponding purchase orders and delivery notes
* Reconcile supplier statements and promptly address any supplier queries
* Prepare and oversee payment runs, ensuring payments are completed correctly and on schedule
* Organise and maintain precise records of invoices and supporting documents
* Support month-end processes and collaborate on financial reports
* Communicate with both internal teams and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies
Required skills and experience of the Accounts Payable Clerk
* Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
* Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
* Good communication skills
* Experience with accounting software
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Demonstrates initiative, whilst able to take direction
