Key Retail Store Manager Position
Our client is seeking an experienced retail store manager to join their Athlone location. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a service-driven team of 5 in achieving sales through excellent service and engagement.
The ideal candidate will be highly customer-focused with 2+ years' experience in retail leadership and thrive on both sales performance and team development.
This position may be suited to a current store manager or deputy manager looking to take the next step.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 4-5 staff, ensuring high standards of performance, morale, and service delivery.
* Recruit, onboard, and train staff, while managing schedules and staff performance through regular reviews and feedback.
* Drive sales and profitability by delivering on key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Oversee merchandising and visual standards, ensuring displays, product placement, and general store layout reflect brand guidelines and stimulate sales.
* Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment and ordering processes, and minimize losses through effective controls.
* Handle daily operational tasks – including cash handling, opening/closing protocols, and ensuring adherence to security and health & safety procedures.
* Deliver outstanding customer service: resolve inquiries and issues, cultivate long-term customer relationships, and uphold a service-first culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in fashion or a related retail environment.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
* A proven track record in driving sales and service across a customer-oriented retail store.
