The successful candidate will work closely with farmers to understand herd challenges and introduce early-intervention solutions from the company’s product portfolio.The role is suited to someone who enjoys working directly with farmers, building trust on farm, and developing a strong regional customer base. As part of a decentralised sales structure, the Area Sales Consultant will play an important role in driving territory growth while supporting farmers with practical solutions that improve herd performance.ResponsibilitiesProvide practical herd health guidance to dairy farmers while introducing early-intervention solutions from the company’s portfolio.Promote and explain the company’s animal health concepts and products.Develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.Maintain and grow relationships with existing farm customers.Achieve revenue targets and customer retention objectives.Maintain an active pipeline of potential farm customers.Plan and conduct regular farm visits across the territory.Manage customer orders and ensure accurate and timely processing.Monitor product and stock levels within the territory.Track market developments and provide feedback on customer needs and industry trends.Work collaboratively with colleagues within a decentralised regional sales team.Candidate RequirementsMinimum 12 months experience in field sales.Experience or knowledge of the agricultural sector.Exposure to the dairy industry preferred.Ability to build relationships with livestock farmers and provide practical advice.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently.Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.IT literate.Valid driving licence.RemunerationAn attractive remuneration package is available, including:Base salary: €46,000 – €58,000 depending on experienceBonus: Target 20% performance related bonusDaily lunch allowanceCompany vehicleBenefits packageFor candidates bringing strong sector experience or additional technical expertise, there may be flexibility beyond the stated salary range.If you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at jobs@consultghi.com for further detail.
