Kildare this role is an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Engineer with several years' experience to work on supporting the innovation, design and development of ASH digital inspection and measurement solutions.
The Customer Support Engineer will primarily be responsible for conducting feasibility studies and Proof of Concepts (Po Cs) for customer specific applications as well as providing technical support and training to ASH global customers and channel partners in the manufacturing.
Contributing to a creative and innovative environment, and reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will provide customer application feedback which will contribute to the overall development of the ASH product offering.
The successful candidate must be available to work at the company premises in Naas, Co.
Kildare and must possess a full clean driving licence.
Please note that this is not a hybrid working role.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• A good technical competence with analytical skills
• A proven track record of meeting deadlines
• Experience in a fully commercial environment ideally related to industrial inspection equipment or similar, and an aptitude to present customer onsite demonstrations of technical products
• A proven record in providing excellent customer support
• A proficiency with Microsoft packages – Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word, and Teams
Main responsibilities
o To use product/service and application knowledge to address customer inquiries, challenges and requests in a manner that enhances Ash's reputation as a solution provider
o To provide customer technical email and phone support
o Enable customer self-sufficiency by creating user/technical documentation and training materials
o Create and maintain FAQ and answer database
Sales Support
o Develop Proof of Concept (Po C) solutions and reports for customers
o Create and maintain a database of customer application samples
o Manage training on the ASH range of products and provide technical support for new sales opportunities
o Travel to tradeshows and visit customers onsite
Software Testing
o Software testing and bug reporting
o Setup comparison experiments for evaluation of new technology
o Component and accessory sourcing
o Collaborate with internal groups (Quality Control, Sales and Marketing) to resolve client issues and drive quality improvements
