My client is a progressive, design-led engineering consultancy with a strong presence across Ireland and internationally. Known for delivering high-performance, sustainable building services solutions, they are continuing to grow their Cork team due to a strong pipeline of commercial, residential, healthcare and mixed-use projects. This is a senior position within the mechanical design team, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
You will:
Lead mechanical design across a range of high-spec projects
Manage project delivery, ensuring quality, programme and commercial targets are met
Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
Liaise directly with clients, design teams and stakeholders
Oversee design outputs including HVAC, LTHW, public health and BMS systems
Ensure full compliance with Irish building regulations and industry standards
What They’re Looking For
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
6+ years’ consultancy design experience
Strong track record delivering full-cycle mechanical design
Experience across commercial and/or residential projects
BIM and energy modelling experience advantageous
Strong leadership and communication skills
