Overview
Communication Specialist role at Uniphar Group. This is a fixed term contract for 2 years. The role sits in the Supply Chain & Retail division and focuses on supporting the communications needs of the Supply Chain and On Demand teams, including Operations. The candidate should be capable of writing well and understanding a complex, international business; journalism background is considered.
Key Outcomes
* Run communications on a large multi-year, multi-million euro project to develop a high tech distribution centre, working closely with HR and the Operations teams on change management
* Work with stakeholders across the wider Uniphar business to explain what the Supply Chain business is about and improve communication across divisions
* Develop high-quality written content, including internal communications, articles, blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and marketing materials that align with the division and the company’s brand and communication goals
* Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive communication plan to support the distribution centre development project in Ireland; collaborate with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams to ensure consistent messaging and support the Uniphar brand externally
* Oversee the division’s social media channels, develop content calendars for Supply Chain, and maintain links with divisional Marketing Directors and other marcomms professionals
* Coordinate internal communication efforts to keep employees informed about company news, updates, and initiatives, creating content for internal newsletters, intranet, and other platforms
* Manage external communications for Supply Chain, liaising with the Investor Relations team
* Maintain and enhance the company’s voice and visual identity across all communications, aligned with branding guidelines
* Monitor and report on communication campaign effectiveness, using analytics to refine strategies
Key Skills & Experiences
* Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field
* Experience in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field
* Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
* Strong understanding of internal communications and communications project management
* Proficient in using social media platforms, content management systems (CMS) and marketing tools
* Ability to develop and implement communication strategies and campaigns both internally and externally
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
* Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
* Experience in building strong internal and external relationships with key communications stakeholders

This role will be based in our Greenogue (G2) office, Dublin. There will be hybrid working, and travel to global sites may be required. The role is not a strict 9-to-5 position; we offer a flexible, progressive approach to work-life balance.
