Quantitative Researcher – Mid-Frequency Strategies
Location:

Salary:
€100K - €150K OTE
About
We're working with a global FinTech organisation building a research-first trading team on the lookout for a Quant Reseacher.
We're looking for a Quantitative Researcher with a strong statistical foundation and hands-on experience developing mid-frequency trading strategies (holding periods from minutes to overnight).
This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the early stages of strategy development — cleaning data, testing hypotheses, modeling predictive signals, and collaborating with engineers to bring ideas into production. You'll work in a lean, high-impact team where your research directly influences trading performance and capital allocation.
Key Responsibilities
* Research, design, and validate short- to mid-frequency alpha strategies in global futures and equities.
* Work with large-scale market, fundamental, and alternative datasets to identify and test signals.
* Build and evaluate forecasting models with strong statistical rigor and robust out-of-sample testing.
* Collaborate with engineers to transition prototypes into production systems.
* Monitor live strategy performance, identify signal decay, and iterate to enhance robustness.
* Stay up to date on market structure, liquidity conditions, and quantitative modeling techniques.
Key Skills
* 3+ years' experience in quantitative research, ideally within systematic or mid-frequency trading.
* Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and time-series modeling (PhD a plus).
* Hands-on experience in futures and/or equities markets.
* Proficiency in Python; familiarity with C++ or Rust is advantageous.
* Deep understanding of research workflows — including walk-forward testing, validation, and overfitting avoidance.
* Comfortable working with large datasets and conducting exploratory data analysis.
* Bonus: Experience taking a strategy from research to live trading, or knowledge of execution modeling, slippage estimation, and transaction cost analysis.
