Senior Clinical Psychologist Location: Meelin, County Cork, Ireland Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive (aligned with company scale) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team supporting adults and children with complex mental health needs, intellectual disabilities, autism, and dual diagnoses. This role involves providing high-quality psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and intervention, while contributing to the development of person-centred plans and supporting the wider care team. Key Responsibilities Provide a full range of psychological services, including assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning, therapy, and programme implementation. Deliver individual therapy, counselling sessions, and group interventions to service users. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure an integrated, person-centred approach to care. Offer advice, support programmes, and training for staff, families, and caregivers. Maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to service reports, and uphold professional standards. Actively participate in service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives. Keep up-to-date with developments in psychology and engage in ongoing professional development. Promote and deliver services in line with organisational ethos, values, and philosophy. Requirements Qualifications: Recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology. If qualified outside Ireland, validation by the Department of Health (or working towards compensatory criteria). Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Experience: 3+ years post-qualification experience in services for individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and/or Mental Health challenges (desirable). Skills & Knowledge: Understanding of relevant standards, regulations, and legislation in mental health and disability services. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills. Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
