A prestigious role has emerged for a Senior Traffic and Highway Design Engineer.
Job Description
The successful candidate will lead the design of roads, junctions, roundabouts, car parks, basement car parks access, active travel infrastructure and mobility schemes from feasibility to construction.
* Prepare and review Traffic and Transport Impact Assessments (TTA/TIA), Mobility Management Plans (MMPs), Travel Plans, etc. for planning applications and masterplans.
* Engage with directors, colleagues and clients on parking ratios, bicycle, electric vehicle, shared vehicle requirements for developments.
* Manage client liaison, design team meetings, stakeholder engagement, and liaise with Local Authorities, TII, etc. on behalf of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design highways and road networks.
2. Conduct traffic assessments and modelling.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience within an engineering consultancy. They should possess broad knowledge of road and highway design best practice and practical solutions. Experience with UK and/or Ireland projects is essential.
* Strong working knowledge of local road and traffic design standards (TII, DMURS, NTA).
* Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D desirable) and traffic modelling packages such as Picady, Arcady, Oscady and Transyt software (or similar).
* Experience inspecting civil works as an Ancillary Certifier.
