Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Legal

Job Description:

A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to support their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative assistance and carrying out legal secretarial duties.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. They will also have experience with document preparation, calendar management, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
* Document Preparation: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and other materials.
* Dictaphone typing
* Calendar Management: Manage and update solicitors' calendars, including scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.
* Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and scheduling meetings or consultations.
* File Management: Maintain and organize paper and electronic files, ensuring documents are easily accessible, Online registration of documentation.
* Legal Research: Assist solicitors in legal research, document retrieval, and other research tasks.
* Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with various courts and agencies as required.
* Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and always maintain confidentiality.
* Team Support: Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document types.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, legal software, and document management systems
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
* Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on new responsibilities.
