We are looking for a high-calibre Site Engineer to join our team in Cork on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:
1. Monitor and evaluate quality control for sub-contractor’s work.
2. Coordinate site drawings.
3. Set out for subcontractors, including providing gridlines and levels for groundwork, RC frames, foundations, floor slabs, blocklaying, services, civil works, and house plots on housing projects; also issuing surveys to solicitors; supervising and monitoring groundworks and civil engineering contractors, as well as concrete frame contractors.
4. Experience with RC frames is desirable, especially within residential or contracting backgrounds.
5. Develop strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and with high quality and attention to detail.
6. Maintain site records and quality assurance documentation.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience.
* HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification.
* Ability to meet demanding timeframes and quality standards.
* Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
* Methodical, attentive to detail, and accurate.
* Ability to work well with people at all levels and be a team player.
* Self-motivated with the initiative to work independently.
* Capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
* Willing to accept responsibility for completing tasks.
