Junior Electronic Engineer
Job Overview:
The Junior Electronic Engineer will be part of the Engineering team, involved in the ongoing development and enhancement of existing/new systems. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to prioritise their workload.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronic, Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required.
* Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not essential.
* High levels of attention to detail are essential for carrying out tasks effectively.
* Strong Interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office – specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to debug and solve complex problems.
* A genuine interest in technology is required.
* Experience in electrical/electronic debugging and fault finding.
* Full clean driver's license.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lab testing of complete electronic control systems.
* Liaise with electronic and mechanical design engineers to create technical electronic specifications for various products and equipment.
* Setup of test stations, power supplies, measuring instruments.
* Analysis of non-conforming products returned by customers and completion of detailed reports.
* Identify root cause components related to faults through iterative debugging.
* Use oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and specialized test equipment to troubleshoot and isolate failures.
* Assist other technicians and engineers with diagnosis of electronic systems.
* Communicate with customers and service personnel to debug and address electronic issues in the field.
* Ongoing updates of documentation and repair logs.
* Support in specifying software changes and updates.
