Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Agriculture Business Leader to drive strategic growth and operational excellence across our Agristore branches. This role requires a strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to foster high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage local branch operations to achieve sales, profitability, and customer service goals
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies, standardize best practices, and identify opportunities for improvement
* Monitor and manage performance metrics such as sales growth, margin, stock turnover, and customer satisfaction
* Drive business strategies, including outlining sales plans, stock levels, promotional initiatives, and budgeting to support business growth
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures, ERP systems, and regulatory standards
* Manage customer complaints, staff issues, and foster a positive workplace culture
* Identify new growth areas, support new product introductions, and optimize store business performance
* Communicate regularly with other departments and stakeholders
* Implement and comply with company standards in line with policy
Candidate Profile:
* A third-level qualification in Agriculture, Business, or a related field; some roles may consider equivalent experience
* Solid experience in agribusiness sales or retail management, with a strong understanding of the agri sector
* Proven record in achieving sales targets, managing budgets, and meeting KPIs
* Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
* Strong business acumen and analytical thinking; ability to manage multi-site operations effectively
* Competent in computers & IT systems
* Full clean driving license and willingness to travel to each branch
