Qualifications and Experience· Fully accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with the IACP, IAHIP, IAPTP, and/or PSI· Relevant training and experience of working with trauma· Knowledge and experience of the philosophy and practice of working with those impacted by sexual violence· Three years relevant supervisory / managerial experienceRole Summary Clinical Lead· Provide effective line management, support, and supervision for the therapeutic/clinical aspects of the Rape Crisis North East Counselling and Clinical Support Team, including both Adult and Adolescent Counsellors· Lead the recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of new team members· Oversee service-user records and processes to ensure compliance with organisational standards· The Counsellors/Psychotherapists will report their clinical/counselling practice to the Clinical Lead and their non-clinical practice to the RCNE Manager· The Clinical Lead will report to the RCNE ManagerClinical Leadership & Governance· In conjunction with the RCNE Manager, maintain overall clinical governance across all therapeutic and support services· Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and professional standards, and to assess risk on an on-going basis· Promote a culture of reflective practice, professional development, and continuous quality improvementService Delivery and Development· Support the development and implementation of relevant clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain best practice standards· Ensure safe, confidential, and welcoming environments for all service users, including the sourcing and negotiating with satellite venues· Participate in regular service reviews to monitor outcomes, effectiveness, and targets· Oversee and develop both individual and group-based therapeutic services in line with service-user needs and best practice· Assess risk and allocate cases appropriately to counsellors, maintaining oversight of workloads and supervision needs· Manage the counselling waiting list to ensure equitable and timely access to servicesDuties & Responsibilities· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, policy, and good practice in trauma-informed care and sexual violence support services· Work in accordance with professional ethical frameworks, including those of IACP, IAHIP, IAPTP, and/or PSI· Lead on developing and reviewing policies to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with sector standards· Oversee the operational delivery plan for clinical/counselling services in line with the organisation's wider strategic objectives· Produce annual clinical reports detailing service activity, outcomes, and future recommendations· Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records and statistics related to the counselling service· Implement and oversee monitoring systems to ensure the service meets the requirements of funders, partners, and other stakeholders· Contribute to the preparation of project reports, evaluations, and other documentation in a variety of formats· Working in line with RCNE's policies, procedures and ethos, includingØ The Child Protection PolicyØ The Equality and Diversity PolicyØ Health and Safety Policies and Procedures· Attend and participate in regular training, supervision, and staff meetings as required· Undertake administrative duties associated with the role· Maintain current knowledge of issues affecting survivors of sexual violence, as well as wider issues within the DSGBV sector· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant external stakeholders, partners, and agencies· Be available to work flexibly, as there may be a requirement to work outside of opening hours· Carry out any other reasonable duties consistent with the post as requested by the RCNE ManagerPlease note: This job description outlines the main duties and responsibilities of the post and may be subject to review and amendment as the needs of the organisation evolve.RCNE IS committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone and encourage applications from all sections of the community.Note: the successful candidate will be required to complete a Garda Vetting application form.Please email CV and Cover Letter to which outlines your suitability for the role and responsibilities of the post.
